Tim has most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Choose New Jersey — the state's leading nonprofit economic development organization — where he also served as Executive Director of their West Coast Center and advisor to the Governor of New Jersey on film and AI.
His work sits at the intersection of business attraction, strategic growth, and public-private partnership, having led Choose New Jersey's strategic planning process, designing and optimizing economic incentives, and running their California operations — connecting West Coast companies in technology, AI, life sciences, and film with New Jersey's business ecosystem and policy leadership.
Before Choose New Jersey, Tim directed foreign direct investment strategy for the UK's Department for Business and Trade across the United States and Canada — the world's largest bilateral investment relationship — driving inbound capital and market-entry decisions at the highest levels of government and industry. He got his start as a senior policy advisor in the British Government, working on labor market and workforce strategy, and organizational design and public agency reform.
He holds a graduate degree from USC's Price School of Public Policy (organizational design and leadership) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol. He also serves as a Capstone Advisor and guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government. He's a dual US-UK citizen with a career spanning government, business, and economic strategy.
